Stari Grad
Stari Grad, located on the island of Hvar in Croatia, is one of the oldest towns in Europe, founded in 384 BC by Greek settlers from the island of Paros. Its name means "Old Town" in Croatian, reflecting its rich historical heritage. The town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, recognized for its ancient agricultural landscape known as the "Stari Grad Plain," which has been cultivated continuously since ancient times. Stari Grad is also renowned for its picturesque charm, featuring narrow cobblestone streets, stone houses, and beautiful sheltered bays.
